Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the Current app and website (the “Service”) collect and how it is used. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run accounts and subscriptions, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t run third-party advertising.

What we collect

• Account data — if you create an account: your email address, name, and sign-in identity, managed by our authentication provider (Clerk). Anonymous use is supported; without an account, favorites stay on your device only.
• App data — your favorited surf spots and preferences (units, notification setting), synced to your account so they follow you across devices.
• Subscription status — if you subscribe, purchase and entitlement information is processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We store your subscription tier and expiry. We never see your payment card details.
• Technical logs — standard server logs (IP address, request paths) retained briefly for security and debugging.

What we don’t do

• No sale or rental of personal data.
• No third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
• No precise location collection — forecasts are for fixed public surf spots you choose.

Service providers

We use Clerk (authentication), RevenueCat and Apple (subscriptions), Railway (application hosting), and Cloudflare (content delivery). Each receives only what it needs to provide its function.

Data retention & deletion

Account data is retained while your account exists. Deleting your account in the app’s Settings permanently removes your account, favorites, and preferences from our servers. You can also request deletion by email.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
